IS Oxford is delighted to sponsor the CoLRic Innovative Practice Award (CIPA) again this year. The award celebrates innovative teamworking, imaginative and exceptional service developments and is presented to the team that can demonstrate the highest value and impact of their provision. We were delighted to have our own Emma Duffield, Sales Manager for IS Oxford, on the judging panel for the fourth year running. The winner of the Innovative Practice Award for 2024 was Leicester College Library for ‘Gameracy’ a game-based programme for disengaged students designed to take the stress out of learning. Leicester College Libraries implemented tabletop games to improve literacy and numeracy, boost wellbeing and encourage key social skills, such as teamwork and strategising.   Emma was delighted with the judges’ unanimous choice: “Having worked with college library staff for nearly 30 years, I know that engaging students is one of their greatest challenges. This initiative is perfectly designed to address this issue. The diverse range of games ensures that there is something for everyone”.
